Loras was born in the mountains of the High Forest to two druid parents of renown in their circle. He received druidic education at a young age and was expected to rise through the ranks and join his guardians once he completed his training. But Loras always knew he was meant for greater things; better, more powerful magic. He's drawn to arcane magic instead of the primal and studied it in secret with whatever books and scrolls he could find. One day, a wizard named Vespin Chloras passed through the land. The two connected and the wizard promised to teach Loras arcane arts. This went on for some time. Loras was deeply invested in the arcane secrets Vespin revealed, and Vespin became especially interested in the ancient elemental orb guarded by the druids.– What if they could extract the power of the orb and harness the elemental forces through arcane means? They worked on their theory, studied and experimented until they had a blueprint for application. Loras helped Vespin bypass the ward protecting the orb, and the two put their theory to test ...That's when the accident occurred. The raw force of the elements went out of control and caused a magical explosion. Loras was injured in the process, leaving a permanent scar on the right side of his face.Vespin disappeared after the incident. Loras faced trial and was excommunicated from the circle. He left the mountains and headed to Baldur's Gate, determined to continue his arcane studies there. That's when the mind flayer ship invaded, and Loras became among those kidnapped and infected with a tadpole on the naultiloid ...

Every mage in Faerun has heard of the name Karsus, the child-who-would-be-god and his folly that broke the magic of the world. But what of Vespin Chloras, Left Hand of Asmodeus? The infernal devil mage was once a man ...Born in the same era as Karsus, an archmage by the name Vespin Chloras, too, dedicated his life to unlock the secret of godhood. Like Karsus, Vespin believed to become a god one must kill a god and take their place in the pantheon. Unlike Karsus, who was after Magic itself, Vespin believed that his Ritual of Ascension would be best used if he replaced and rid the world of an evil god.He set his eyes on Asmodeus, the Lord of the Nine Hells himself, which was his first and last mistake. The spell was less than perfect, and Asmodeus easily overcame it, bringing Vespin to his knees in an instant. Enraged by the mortal's insolent attempt, Asmodeus peered into Vespin's mind for his deepest, darkest fears. In his dying moment, Vespin felt the intense regret and sense of loneliness, and begged not to be forgotten. Identifying his ammunition, Asmodeus decimated Vespin's city and wiped it from existence – everything he had worked for, his life, his accomplishments, his studies and his sanctum, gone, along with thousands of lives and hundreds of years of history.Asmodeus then twisted Vespin's form and made him into a devil, peeling off his skin so he was but a faceless, nameless monster of the hells. Simply known as the Left Hand of Asmodeus, he had since been bound to Asmodeus for eternity ...The Lord of the Hells never let Vespin forget about his mistake. Occasionally, he will free Vespin from his control and send him up to the Material Plane after magical intrigues that will inevitably end in disaster, proving to Vespin time and again that he's a broken man and will always make the same mistake.Vespin's torment seemed endless. Then a naultiloid crashed through Avernus. As a devil of the hells, Vespin was sent to respond. That's where he met an infected host / [Tav], who with their strange new psychic ability could free Vespin from Asmodeus' control ...

If Sukree had a soul coin every time he woke up in a strange cocoon covered in questionable fluids, feeling vaguely changed ... he would have two soul coins. Which was quite a bit as far as minted souls go, and definitely weird that it happened twice.Sukree didn't remember anything from before the first time this happened. He woke up in the mountains with a bunch of druids fussing over him. He was in some kind of a healing pod. They said there had been an accident. Sukree was exposed to an ungodly amount of arcane magic and elemental forces, that they barely saved him but he didn't have much longer left to live.Prognosis: five to ten years. And that's being optimistic. As a fairly young half-elf (he thinks), this was devastating news. But Sukree wouldn't let this drag him down. If he only had five or ten years to live, then he better make it the best five to ten years anyone has ever lived. He thanked the druids and left the mountains to start his adventure. Who knew that an adventure was also looking for him – while stopping at Baldur's Gate, he was kidnapped by the mind flayers and woke up in a pod with a worm in his head!At least this time he didn't lose his memory. And he met a bunch of cool friends from the ship. Everyone wants to get rid of the brain worms, and Sukree is more than happy to oblige. It seems urgent enough. What does he have to lose anyway?

HISTORY
WIP. See this post, this post, and pinned post for quick notes on timeline and how the characters are connected.I'm working through the game very slowly but I don't mind spoilers and can and will write in any section of the game for plot, and will adjust character info as I go.
CONTRACT
WIP. Please observe standard rp etiquette and visit pinned post for more info. Here are some key points:
I feel like this should go without saying but here is your explicit permission to curate your rp experience guilt-free: if I follow you and you don't see us interacting or just not feeling the vibe, please feel 0 pressure to follow back. Only follow if you are comfortable and excited to do so. Generally, if I follow someone and they don't follow back in a week or so I will get the hint and unfollow. Feel free to unfollow anytime as well. No hard feelings. Even if you change your mind later and decide to follow after all or refollow, I promise you 9/10 times it's not awkward (unless you're doing something weird; but you wouldn't do that, would you? I believe in you).
I don't mind spoilers. bg3 gameplay are tagged as "character name // bg3 in game" (ie #loras // bg3 in game, #sukree // bg3 in game). If there's anything specific you would like me to tag please let me know. Otherwise, I am Not Fast so most people will be ahead of me anyway.
With the game being a rpg, obviously loras and sukree will have their own dynamics with each companion in their playthoughs and I talk about it on the dash sometimes. But rest assure I will never assume the dynamic / interpretation with someone else's portrayal, unless explicitly discussed and plotted.
I may write with a few versions of the same character. In which case I try to keep the dynamic / plot unique to each connection.
Askbox and dms are open for ic and ooc communication with mutuals. If anything feels unclear or erroneous, feel free to reach out.
